What is Flexion Distraction?

Flexion Distraction is another table used by chiropractors. It is made of different “parts” that can be adjusted for a specific build, or for a specific need.

When using the the flexion distraction table your chiropractor will apply light pressure to specific vertebrae while moving the tail end of the table in precise directions. By doing this pressure is being released from the discs and nerves in your back and by allowing fluid back into the compressed discs.

What kind of symptoms can flexion distraction relieve? Flexion distraction is a great option to try before any surgery for the following symptoms in the back, legs, or arms:

  • pain
  • tingling
  • numbness
  • muscles weakness
  • etc.

Wondering if Flexion Distraction could benefit you? Talk to your chiropractor about your symptoms to find out!
