Peppermint is more than just a flavor for candy around the holiday season. In fact, Peppermint can be used in a variety of ways to improve health and well-being. Below are just a few different ways that peppermint can help you feel your best:
Stomach Pains: If you’re experiencing gas pains or nausea, peppermint can be used topically over the painful area of the stomach to relieve symptoms.
Bad Breath: There is a reason that many mouthwashes have a peppermint flavor to them. The oil is able to inhibit the formation of biofilm that is linked to cavities. Either rinse your mouth with water and few drops of peppermint oil, or add a drop or two to your toothpaste.
Headaches: By massaging peppermint oil into the temples (be careful to avoid the eye area) and back of the neck muscles are able to release tension. Inhaling the aroma can also help. That being said, peppermint can also relieve tension in other muscles by massaging the oil topically over the sore areas.
Peppermint is able to cure or suppress many other symptoms as well. If you are interested in using peppermint oil we highly recommend doing more research.
